Breakingnews.ie reports that the cost of collecting solar energy equal to one barrel of oil is $50, and future collection costs could drop to as low as $20 - a huge discount to oil.
Oil prices reached a record high of $75.40 earlier this week. Analysts are predicting that oil will reach $100 per barrel soon.
