Hawaii’s Hoku Awards Polysilicon Plant Contract

Pacific Business News reports that Hawaii’s Hoku Scientific has awarded a contract to Virginia-based CH2M HILL Lockwood Greene to engineer Hoku’s planned polysilicon production plant.

In May, Hoku announced it would invest $250 million to enter the solar power market and was considering building a plant in Singapore to manufacture polysilicon solar panels for fuel cells.
