School Going Solar

Written on September 1, 2006

Inside Bay Area reports that California’s Conley-Caraballo High School is installing 600 solar panels on the school’s rooftops. The panels are expected to provide approximately 85 percent of the school’s electrical needs and should pay for themselves within a decade.

The cost of the $840,000 project was offset by about $400,000 in state rebates and grants.
