Solar Panels to Mimic Plant Cells

Electronics Weekly reports researchers at the University of Sydney have discovered that solar panels that mimic the molecules used by plants for photosynthesis can increase the panels’ efficiency. Current solar cells convert 15 to 20 percent of the light they capture into energy, while certain leaves convert 30 to 40 percent of the light.
