Alternative Energy Permit Fees Waived
The Oregonian Live reports that the Hillsboro, Oregon, City Council has voted to waive permit fees for the installation or construction of qualifying alternate energy devices.
Qualifying devices include passive solar space and water heating, solar thermal electric, photovoltaic energy, and devices to produce wind, biomass, and hydroelectric energy, fuel cells and refueling stations. Modifications to current systems are not covered under the decision.
