DayStar’s Solar Cell Deal with Germany’s Blitzstrom Expanded
The Business Review reports that New York’s DayStar Technologies Inc. and Germany’s Blitzstrom GmbH have agreed to increase Blitzstrom’s purchase of solar cells from 30 megawatts to 130 megawatts by 2010.
Daystar produces TerraFoil solar cells, which are made with copper indium gallium and selenide technology. Blitzstrom is a photovoltaic systems integrator. The cells involved in the purchase agreement will be used as an alternative to silicon wafer cells by Titan Energy in India.
