Ohio to Offer $2.2 Million in Energy Grants

Written on September 14, 2006

Business First reports that the Ohio Department of Development has made $2.2 million of Energy Loan Fund grants available. The grants will help fund energy technology projects for business, industrial and residential uses of solar and wind-generated electricity, and solar thermal systems. Manufacturing facilities and small businesses are also eligible for grants to implement energy-efficient technology.

A qualification for funding is that projects must be located in the service territory of one of Ohio’s investor-owned electrical utilities, one of which is Columbus-based American Electric Power Company Inc.
