Salt Lake City Installs Solar Array
KSL.com reports that Salt Lake City, Utah, has installed a solar array capable of producing 20 kilowatts of power on the downtown Salt Palace Expansion. The 102 solar panel array is a $200,000 joint project between Salt Lake County, the city and Rocky Mountain Power’s Blue Sky program, in which 18,000 customers pay a premium to support renewable energy.
The pollution-free power generated from the array is enough to power the lights on two levels of the Salt Palace’s parking garage.
