Space Station Has New Solar Panels
ABC News reports that two new solar energy arrays were installed on the International Space Station on Sept. 14. The 240-foot long panels that will double the electricity supply on the station were installed after arriving in the shuttle Atlantis.
The accordian-folded panels were extended and deployed without the need of a spacewalk.
