Cape Town to Boost Growth With Energy Savings
BuaNews Online reports that Cape Town, South Africa, has announced a plan to boost growth and development in the city through saving on energy costs by establishing a five-year framework for implementation and investment in cost-efficient engery provision.
Goals of the strategy include installing solar water heaters in ten percent of homes and the use of energy saving compact fluorescent light bulbs that can last up to seven years in all city-owned houses and apartments by 2010.
