Living On Earth reports that despite the shortage of silicon keeping solar energy systems expensive, more and more American consumers are looking at solar as an alternative as energy prices continue to rise. People are less concerned about the “payback” time of the initial installation cost and are more concerned about the environment.
With more and more states offering tax and other incentives for solar energy use, companies are receiving increased requests for alternative energy projects from housing developers and homeowners.
