SCHOTT Ramps Up Solar Receiver Production
A PRNewswire press release reports that the international technology company SCHOTT has inaugurated a production plant in Mitterteich, Bavaria, for manufacturing solar receivers for solar thermal parabolic trough power plants.
SCHOTT invested 15 million euros ($19 million) in the facility and created 80 new jobs. The plant marks a shift from pilot production of small quantities of receivers to industrial serial manufacturing.
