U.S. Solar Tech Makers to Receive $13M
The Manufacturer reports that the U.S. Department of Energy has announced more than $13 million to fund new research in solar technologies as part of President Bush’s $148 million Solar America Initiative. The funding is intended to aid development of more efficient solar panels.
The Solar America Initiative’s goal is to make the cost of solar power competitive with conventional electricity sources by 2015.
