Iranian Solar Energy plant first of it’s kind
IndianMuslims.info reports the Yazd Solar Energy Power Plant combines energy from a solar farm with a conventional cycle, making it the first of it’s kind globally. Head of the plant, Mohammad-Reza al-Madrasi, was quoted at a press confrence saying “At this power plant we have combined two 159 mega watt gas power plants, 132 steam power plants and a 17 mega watt solar power plant.”. Al-Madrasi used taking advantage of energy sources and increasing power plant output as examples to the advantages of transferring solar energy techonology to Iran. The Yazd Thermo-Solar Power Plant would be producing 467 megawatts of electricity at it’s full capacity.
