Australian Politicians Going Green
The Daily Telegraph reports some Australian politicians are going to great lengths to help the environment. In a survey conducted by The Daily Telegraph, every politician surveyed claimed to have energy-saving light bulbs, water-saving shower heads, avoided using dryers and some had rainwater tanks, or were waiting to get one. Many other politicians take extra steps towards a green life such as using shower water for re-use in watering lawns, turning off the television at the wall to avoid wasting standby power, buying local foods to avoid transport energy waste and riding bicycles to cut down on gas use. However out of the 50 approached for the survey, 24 politicians either did not respond or refused to take part.
