Ontario gets biggest solar farm in North America
Reuters.com reports construction on North America’s biggest solar power plant will begin next year in Ontario. Expected to be completed in 2010, the 40-megawatt project will supply emission-free power to up to 6,000 homes. Though the cost of the project was indisclosed typically a project in a 10 megawatt range could cost up to C$80 million. The farm will cover nearly 365 hectares and boast around one million panels.
