Solar Lanterns distributed to earthquake affected areas
The Hindu reports the Jammu and Kashmir government has distributed 50 solar lanterns to the people of Kona Gabra and Tangdhar in frontier district of Kupwara. These are areas that are earthquake-affected. Project Officer Science and Technology Department, Javeed Ahmad, asked the recipients of the lanterns to adopt methods to save energy and use renewable energy sources.
