Ottawa Legalises Solar Water Heaters
CBC News reports the four-year ban on solar water heaters in Ottawa has been lifted. Guidelines have been made that stipulate to the industry what the requirements are to receive a solar domestic hot water system permit. The lack of national industry standards were the reason for the ban. If any Ottawa residents had solar water heaters installed during the four years of the ban, they only need apply for a permit now.
