Port. St. Lucie Recieves Florida’s First LEED Home
UCF News reports the certification of Florida’s first LEED home. The Port St. Lucie home features energy efficient hurricane-resistant wall panels, Energy Star appliances, a fluorescent lighting package, a high efficiency filtration and ventilation system, and drought-tolerant landscaping. LEED homes are energy efficient and use fewer resources than conventional homes.
