Chateau Montelena Winery Goes Solar
Renewable Energy Access reports Chateau Montelena Winery has had a 220 kW solar electric system installed. The two solar electric systems, installed by Premier Power, provide up to 100% of the winery’s annual needs. The systems are expected to pay for themselves within 7 to 10 years and feature 876 GE Energy solar power modules. In the next 25 years the system will reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 6,625 tons, the equivalent to planting 66 acres of trees.
