Castle & Cooke will build Hawai’i Solar Farm
ElectricNet reports Castle & Cooke, Inc. has announced that it has signed a contract to build the solar photovoltaic farm in Hawaii and the fourth in the United States. SunPower Corp. will build the 1.5-megawatt solar farm on a 10-acre site in south Lana’i. The farm is expected to produce enough solar energy to supply up to 30 percent of the island’s electric demand.
