Nevada Solar One Goes To Grid
Verivox reports the Nevada Solar One parabolic trough power plant will be going online. The 64 megawatt plant is the first large solar thermal plant to be build in 15 years and will generate about 129 million kilowatt hours of electricity annually, supplying the power to about 15,000 households. The plant is about 1.4 million square meters, roughly about the same size as 212 soccer fields.
