Pittsburgh Awarded Solar America City Grant
Popcitymedia.com reports on the U.S. Department of Energy’s selection of Pittsburgh as one of the 13 Solar America Cities. Pittsburgh-based Plextronics was awarded $3 million in Solar America funds by the DOE in addition as part of its push for the development of solar technology throughout the country. Pittsburgh was picked based on a city plan for solar implementation that includes utilities, private partners, solar rebates and the installation of large-scale solar plants and systems.
