Chinese Firm Invests In Kenya Solar Plant
Business Daily Africa reports Beijing Tianpu Xianxing Enterprises has entered into a partnership with Electrogen Technologies to build the first solar panel factory in East Africa. By making it more affordable to consumers who depend on the national electricity grid, the move is expected to reposition solar as a key source of energy in Kenya. The venture could also lower the prices of solar panels by up to 65 percent.
