Ausra Raises $40million, Plans California Plant
Silicon Vally Business Journal reports Ausra Inc., a solar technology developer, has raised more than $40 million in its first round of funding. The company says it hopes to build the largest solar thermal plant in the U.S. somewhere in California. The company’s core technology, the compact linear fresnel reflector solar steam generation system, was conceived in the early 90’s by founder and chairman David Mills.
