BrightSource Applies to Build Three Solar Plants
San Francisco Business Times reports BrightSource Energy has applied to build a series of solar plants in California. The company wants to build three plants to total 400 megawatts. That amount of energy is enough to power about 300,000 homes in California. BrightSource is based in Oakland and is negotiating to sell electricity from the plants to utility companies.
