Cape Town Traffic Lights Becoming More Energy Efficient
Business iafrica.com reports the city of Cape Town will replace the conventional light bulbs in its traffic lights with LEDs by 2015. LEDs use seven times less electricity than conventional light bulbs. Ordinary light bulbs need to be replaced every three months, LEDs however, last for a minimum of five years.
