Spheres of Silicon in Reflective Trays could mean cheap effective solar cells

Technology Review reports a Japanese company has developed a new way of making solar cells that cuts production costs by up to 50 percent. The PV cells consist of arrays of thousands of tiny silicon spheres surrounded by hexagonal reflectors.
