AZOOptics.com reports GT Solar Inc. will introduce their newest solar furnace with a signed agreement to supply Nexolon Co. of South Korea at a worth of $8.8 million. This furnace enables solar panel producers to grow multicrystalline silicon wafers to produce electricity when exposed to the sun.

Fox Business reports Clear Skies Solar will provide solar power to Scott Brothers Dairy Farm in California. The $1.7 million project will begin construction this summer to offset the farm’s carbon footprint. Clear Skies is looking to install the solar panels in two phases, the first phase will install 63.86 kw and the second will install 74.93 kw.
