AZOOptics.com reports GT Solar Inc. will introduce their newest solar furnace with a signed agreement to supply Nexolon Co. of South Korea at a worth of $8.8 million.  This furnace enables solar panel producers to grow multicrystalline silicon wafers to produce electricity when exposed to the sun.

CSR Asia reports the Solar Capability Scheme is the latest program by the Clean Energy Program Office.  This will allow the private sector to tap $20 million to offset capital costs of installing solar power in new building projects.

AZOOptics.com reports LDK Solar Company Ltd has signed a 5 year contract to supply multicystalline solar wafers to Qimonda AG, Germany.  LDK Solar will deliver 540 MW of solar wafers under this agreement.

SustainableBusiness.com reports Yingli Green Energy Holding Company Limited has signed a sales contract with Eiko Trading Corporation JP.  Yingli, a photovoltaics manaufacturer, will supply Eiko with 17.35 MW of pv modules for installation projects throughout Germany.

Fox Business reports Clear Skies Solar will provide solar power to Scott Brothers Dairy Farm in California.  The $1.7 million project will begin construction this summer to offset the farm’s carbon footprint.  Clear Skies is looking to install the solar panels in two phases, the first phase will install 63.86 kw and the second will install 74.93 kw.  The company is also helping Scott Brothers with various finanicing option and rebatest o help make their farm more environmentally conscious.
