Akeena Reports Loss, but Still Raising the Revenue
Semiconductor International reports Akeena Solar reported a fourth quarter loss of $4.47 million due to an expansion project in California, but their revenue increased by two. Akeena opened six new offices and doubled their staff, but expects a 100% increase in revenue this coming year. Kyocera has signed a deal to manufacture Andalay solar panels to Akeena, each producing 1.6 MW of solar. power.
