Silicon Shortage Almost Over
Technology Review reports the silicon shortage has caused the cost of solar panels to rise over the years, but with the shortage end in sight prices of panels could drop by as much as 50% by the end of 2010. It has also been predicted that the production of solar panels will double by that time. The shortage of silicon caused prices to increase by up to 10 times.
