Nanoscopic Metal Lining Could Increase Solar Cell Efficiency
Insciences Organisation reports lining solar cells with nanoscopic metal particles could greatly increase their efficiency without a huge economical impact. This method would create a “surface plasmon” to send waves of electrons to resonate and scatter. Surface plasmons are being studied currently at the Australian National University.
